Most group trips die in the group chat because nobody knows what the trip will really cost. Put in your numbers and get a straight answer: the total, the cost per person, and the cost per person per day. Built for the friend who ends up planning everything.
Estimates only. Your real numbers will move with dates, city, and how your group actually travels. That is the point of running them before anyone books.
This page gives you a snapshot. It does the math one time, for the numbers you typed in today. It does not know when someone adds a dinner, swaps a flight, or drops out the week before.
Inside TripCircle, the same math runs for the whole trip. Every cost the group adds is split as it happens. Everyone sees the same live numbers. And the money sits right next to the plan itself: the itinerary, the costs, and the people, all in one place. No end-of-trip spreadsheet. No chasing anyone for what they owe.
Use this calculator to get the trip started. Use TripCircle to keep it true.

Add up the per-person costs first: flights, food, activities, and transport for each traveler. Then add the shared costs, like the stay, and divide those by the number of travelers. Total trip cost is the two combined, and cost per person is the total divided by the group size. This calculator follows exactly that order.
A domestic long weekend usually lands between $400 and $900 per person. A four or five night beach or international trip usually lands between $900 and $1,800 per person, depending on flights and the stay. If your number comes in far above that, look at the stay first, because it is the line groups can change fastest.
Evenly, per person, per night is the most common approach and the one this calculator uses. Some groups split by room instead, so a couple in the big room pays more than a single in the small one. Either works, as long as the group agrees before booking, not after.
Yes, for shared costs. A stay, a rental van, or a private tour split eight ways costs each person half what it costs split four ways. Per-person costs like flights and meals stay flat no matter the group size. This is why adding two more committed travelers can bring a trip back inside everyone's budget.
Rides to and from the airport, baggage fees, tips, travel insurance, groceries and drinks for the house, and one splurge activity nobody planned for. The anything-else line in this calculator exists for exactly those costs. Padding it honestly beats a surprise shortfall later.
